Managing Director

Karen Hamling MRPharmS

Having worked through the ranks of the profession, starting as a pharmacy assistant, Karen is well placed to understand our business from all angles.

Achieving a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy confirmed her dedication to providing the highest quality pharmaceutical care to patients which, combined with her technical experience as an aseptic unit manager, helped her achieve success as a co-founder of Intra-Tech Healthcare.

Intra-Tech Healthcare, when sold to Mayne Pharma in June 2005, was the single largest supplier of aseptic services in the UK.

As Managing Director of ITH Pharma, she remains committed to her original ambition; to be a provider of high quality products; at reasonable cost and within unrivalled turnaround times.

She is the named Quality Control Manager on the MHRA licence and actively contributes her expertise to all aspects of the business.

Executive Director

Adam Bloom MRPharmS

Qualifying as a pharmacist after completing studies at Liverpool John Moores University was a stepping-stone for Adam who, in 1998, co-founded Intra-Tech Healthcare. When sold to Mayne pharma in June 2005, Intra-Tech Healthcare had developed into the single largest supplier of specialist compounded aseptic services in the UK. Following this success, he supported the management buyout of Genzyme Homecare from its parent Genzyme Inc. to form Careology Ltd, a leading homecare provider.

As a co-founder and Executive Director of ITH Pharma, he is also the named Production Manager on the MHRA licence. His emphasis is on product and strategic development of the business, including innovative dosage design in the form of Doselock.

Commercial Director

Andrew Winstanley

Utilising a Qualified Electrical Engineering background, Andrew moved into medical sales with Hospira Healthcare.

Whilst working his way to National Key Account Manager, Andrew forged solid business relationships with the likes of NHS Supply Chain, AAH and the PN Homecare Groups including PINNT.

Andrew moved to the compounding division of Hospira in 2007 before leaving early 2008 to help set up ITH Pharma.

His role as Commercial Director involves many aspects including the promotion and branding of the company and more importantly the building of long standing working partnerships with our clients.

Pharmaceutical Services Director

Julie Martin MRPharmS

Graduating from Cardiff University with BPharm(Hons) in 1993, followed by postgraduate study in clinical pharmacy (University of London) and later, with the CIPD, coupled with over 10 years’ experience of working at a senior level in MHRA licensed NHS and commercial aseptic units has given Julie broad experience.

She particularly enjoys the challenge of being involved with a small team of committed staff who share her passion for high quality products and who seek to develop themselves and their service to continually strive to improve outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals alike.

Chemo Unit Manager

Kasha Filip

Graduate Chemist (MSc) whose aseptic compounding career has spanned 9 years.

Starting at an entry level position, Kasha’s talents were recognised at an early stage and she progressed to the Operations Manager role where she led the compounding teams for 4 years.

In 2013 she joined the Chemotherapy team as a Unit Manager which she supports in delivering the best customer service.

Operations Manager

Paul Worley

A qualified Pharmacy Technician, Paul joined ITH Pharma and has had vast array of career opportunities ever since.

He is the resident expert in validation of automated compounders.

Quality Assurance Manager

Francis Sao

Francis Sao is a graduate chemist with wide experience in aseptics, having worked in the industry for 14 years.

He started at entry level as part of the production team and progressed through the ranks to the role of QC Manager, which he did for 8 years.

Francis is passionate about ensuring the quality of pharmaceutical products throughout the production process.

His academic background as well as vast experience within different aspects of Specials manufacturing make him the highly qualified for his current role as Quality Assurance Manager.

PN Unit Manager

David Hearn

With 15 years’ experience in aseptic services, David has a solid foundation to take on the challenge of his role as PN Unit Manager.

A Biological Scientist by training, David is considered by his qualified pharmacy colleagues to be an expert in regard to PN formulation, which coupled with his commitment to the highest levels of customer service, keeps our customers coming back for more.

Training Manager

Prisca Kasozi

With over 10 years’ experience within pharmaceutical aseptic services and a CIPD Associate professional for learning and development, Prisca enjoys the opportunity and ability to share her extensive knowledge by designing, developing and implementing a range of training programmes and workbooks for the manufacturing process.

As Training Manager, overseeing the creative aspects of the programmes, Prisca continues to be involved in staff coaching as well as improvements aligned to the strategic objectives of the business.

Finance Manager

Shesh Acharya

Shesh has several years’ experience in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industry.

He is currently responsible for implementing and maintaining financial control systems across all aspects of the business.

He provides key financial data, support and reports to assist in key business decisions.

Shesh also identifies and recommends potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures.

HR Manager

Keith Scovell

Keith has worked in both customer service and HR in managerial roles for over 20 years, in the travel industry and high-end fashion company’s.

Having recently joined ITH Pharma, Keith will be using his vast skill sets in HR to champion the HR functioning role throughout the company.

Operations Manager & Facilities Manager

Chris Jeffrey

Chris started his career as a pharmacy technician in 1999, working and studying as a student technician he quickly found that his passion was in technical services and medicines manufacture. With excellent interpersonal skills, he quickly worked his way up to senior management.

In his 17 years experience in aseptic production, radiopharmacy and terminally sterilised manufacturing environments he has managed large production teams, project managed the introduction of new production systems and filling lines, developed products and manufacturing techniques for new products, co-designed and qualified new facilities and worked with clinical and nursing staff to develop aseptic techniques at ward level.

He also developed an interest in managing and maintaining mechanical systems such Isolators, LAF cabinets, HVACs, WFI systems, Autoclaves, peristaltic pumps and compounding equipment.

Operations Manager

Ana Gomes

Ana is a graduate biologist (MSC) who started at entry level 6 years ago.

Her talents and commitment were recognised at an early stage and she has progressed to her current role as Operations Manager.

Ana combines her technical abilities with great management skills and a passion for providing the best quality products, that allows her to lead the compounding team.

QC Manager

Jatinder Jit

A post graduate in Bio physics who always had a passion to work in pharmaceutical industry.

Jatinder joined ITH Pharma in 2010 at an entry level, she moved to Quality department in 2011 and has progressed through the years to her current role as a Quality Control Manager.

Jatinder’s determination, positive attitude and attention to detail drives her to maintain standards in her role.

Goods Out Manager

Piotr Kowalik

Piotr has been with ITH since 2009 and for the last 2 years he has been our Goods Out Manager.

He is responsible for arranging the work schedule within the warehouse and managing the numerous couriers for our collections throughout the day.

He has vast experience with all warehouse procedures and is an experienced member of the team.

Purchasing Manager

Silvia Icaza

Silvia moved into the pharmaceutical industry 12 years ago gaining extensive experience in Global Operations, Supply Chain, Import/Export, Commercial Operations, GMP, GDP and auditing.

Her background in Psychology has enabled her to establish solid relationships with stakeholders to maintain high quality and service, whilst dealing with factors such as sustainability, risk management and effective negotiation in a multicultural environment.

Goods In Manager

Arkadiusz Jaskowki

Arkadiusz has been with ITH since 2011, starting as a Warehouse Assistant, gaining experience and knowledge of the company.

After 5 years he was promoted to Goods In Manager, working closely with the Commercial Director and Unit Manager to ensure adequate stock supplies; that correct orders are received and to rectify any discrepancies.

He is responsible for managing a large warehouse and supervising a team to ensure the warehouse is always tidy and safe.

IT Manager

Arab Khan

Joined ITH Pharma in 2013 as a Senior Software Developer to design, develop & support applications on a variety of platforms and work as part of the team with some of the best professionals in healthcare.

He progressed to become IT Manger and was given the opportunity to build and manage the ITH IT team – turning ideas into products, developing features to improve processes and to provide an uninterrupted service to production teams and end users.
